Sweet and Spicy Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Crushed Pineapple, with Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Red Pepper, finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp Green Onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Jalapeno Pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Root, minced
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Turkey
  • 2 Tbsp Bacon crumbles
  • 1 Tbsp BiPro, Unflavored, Whey Protein Isolate

Directions

  1. Saute pineapple, applesauce, vinegar, red pepper, green onion, jalapeno pepper, ginger and cayenne pepper over medium heat until red pepper and onion are tender.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Combine with remaining ingredients.
  3. Mix well. Form into 4 patties and cook (pan fry, broil or grill) as desired.
