Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, unsalted, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup BiPro Whey Protein, natural Unflavored
  • 1½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp cloves, ground
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup hot water

Directions

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in egg. Mix in molasses.
  2. Sift together flour, BiPro Whey Protein, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt.
  3. Blend into creamed mixture. Stir in hot water.
  4. Pour into greased 9 inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 35-45 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean).
  5. Let cool before serving, and if desired, top with whipped cream.
