Fruit & Nut Granola

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Old fashioned oats
  • 2/3 cup BiPro Whey Protein Isolate, Unflavored
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ cup Maple syrup
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • ¼ cup Apple juice
  • 2 Tbsp Canola oil
  • ½ tsp Vanilla or almond extract
  • ¼ cup Slivered almonds
  • ¼ cup Pecans, chopped
  • ¼ cup Dried cherries
  • ¼ cup Dried apricots, chopped

Directions

  1. Combine oats, BiPro and cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. Combine maple syrup, honey, apple juice, canola oil and extract. Add to oat mixture and mix well.
  3. Spread on baking sheet and bake at 300°F for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and stir, breaking up any large oat clumps. Add nuts and bake an additional 15-20 minutes.
  4. Cool on pan, stirring occasionally. Once cool, mix in dried fruit.
  5. Store in an airtight container.

Note: Other nuts and dried fruits can be used, or omitted, if desired.
