BiPro User Renée Tomlin Wins Tiszaujvaros Triathlon in Hungary

Renée Tomlin tallied the second world cup victory of her career recently, besting other elite triathletes in Tiszaujvaros, Hungary. The BiPro whey protein isolate user finished the 750-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike ride and 5-kilometer run in one hour and two seconds.

Tomlin, currently ranked No. 18 in the world, brings BiPro with her when she travels around the globe for races to make sure she gets in the proper nutrition to maintain peak form. The Georgetown graduate agrees that BiPro offers the protein her muscles need after a workout in an efficient serving that doesn’t make her bulk up.

“If you’re a high-profile athlete and are training so much per day, your muscles are breaking down and your body needs something to restore them,” Tomlin said. “BiPro hasn’t bulked me up. It’s helped keep me strong. If you want to make it at the highest level as an athlete, you have to invest in your muscles and their repair.”

The race in Hungary was set up differently from the traditional format of a one day final. Instead, Renée competed in a semifinal on Saturday in order to qualify for the final on Sunday. During the 24-hour turnaround, Tomlin said that “recovery was key.”

“Immediately after crossing the finish line on Saturday, I had to begin to recover for Sunday’s final. I jogged over to my bag in the athletes’ lounge and had a serving of chocolate BiPro ready in my shaker bottle before heading out on the remainder of my cooldown jog. The 10-15 minute window after an intense workout, session or race is critical for my nutrition and optimal recovery,” Tomlin said.
