I think everyone can say that they could use a bit more energy throughout the day. Especially when the afternoon slumps rolls around at about 3pm!
We all know getting enough sleep and exercise are great ways to boost your energy, but did you also know you can eat for energy as well? Prevention Magazine has three simple healthy eating steps to help you feel more energized throughout the day:

1. Eat small meals and snacks every three to four hours. This will help keep your blood sugar steady.
2. Be sure to include a complex carb or whole grains and fruits and vegetables into your meals. You should also try to get a good source of protein whenever you eat. These types of foods get digested slowly, helping you maintain energy throughout the day.
3. Drink more water. People often feel sluggish when they are dehydrated.
