- What makes BiPro different?
At BiPro we pride ourselves on having a clean label, which means our protein powders only contain between two and six ingredients. Both our ion exchange and cold-filtered processing techniques leave us with a high-quality whey protein isolate providing a clean flavor and pleasing texture.
When it comes to choosing BiPro over soy or plant proteins remember, you are not what you eat, you are what you absorb! Studies show both whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate have superior protein quality according to the PDCAAs and recently proposed DIAAS scores. Both whey and milk protein isolates contain very high levels of essential amino acids (the amino acids which must be obtained through diet). Plant proteins typically lack significant amounts of one or more essential amino acids, which reduces their usefulness in supporting exercise recovery and other critical bodily functions. In effect, consuming a much higher amount of plant protein is necessary to equal the effectiveness of Whey and Milk protein isolate.
Depending on the source, plant proteins can contain higher levels of heavy metals. There are also anti-nutritional factors contained in some plant proteins; such as phytic acids and protease inhibitors, which contribute to a lower digestibility status.

- What is the difference between cold-filtered and ion exchange whey protein isolate?
Cold-Filtered Microfiltration Whey Protein Isolate: In microfiltration, whey runs through filters at low temperature to remove nearly all fat, lactose, and other impurities. This process is like the way a water filter removes impurities from water; leaving purified water behind, so too microfiltration removes the impurities from whey (lactose and fat) to create an isolated and purified protein.
Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate: Ion exchange technology is regarded as the best of the best in the world as it removes even more fat and lactose through and electrical charge; giving the finished product a slightly higher level of protein and lower level of fat and lactose. This process takes exceptional care not to denature the protein; resulting in an ultra-purified protein isolate with approximately 30% more leucine than microfiltered whey isolate. Leucine is known as the critical amino acid for athletes to initiate muscle protein synthesis.

- What is Milk Protein Isolate?
Milk protein isolate is made from fresh skim milk. The skim milk is gently filtered under low temperatures to remove nearly all fat, sugars, and lactose; leaving only highly purified milk protein isolate behind. The low-temperature process ensures native milk proteins are not denatured and are highly digestible. Milk protein isolate provides both slow acting protein (Micellar casein) and fast acting protein (whey) and is regarded as one of the highest quality and purest proteins available.

- If I am lactose intolerance should I avoid BiPro protein powders and protein waters?
No, even though these are dairy based proteins, BiPro gives you the great benefits of dairy without the lactose. In fact, one scoop of unflavored BiPro contains less than 0.1 grams of lactose. The National Institute of Health claims most people with a lactose intolerance can safely consume this low, negligible amount of lactose with no discomfort.

- I have a nut allergy- Can I use BiPro?
BiPro ELITE and BiPro RENEW do not contain any nut allergens and are safe to consume for individuals with a nut allergy. BiPro BOLD Chocolate and Vanilla varieties do contain a coconut allergen using a highly refined coconut oil. BiPro BOLD is safe for individuals for nut allergies other than coconut to consume.

A low level of cholesterol indicates a pure protein. Our processing technologies not only remove fat, lactose, and sugar; but also, other substances like cholesterol.

All BiPro products have best by dates as a guide for your best taste experience. BiPro does not expire if it is stored in a cool dry place or at room temperature. There is no change to the nutritional quality or safety of the product and it remains wholesome for consumption.
Product that has exceeded the shelf life date or is stored outside of proper conditions may have reduced flavor intensity and aroma. Use of BiPro with or in other ingredients or recipes will minimize any off flavors and odors.
